lesson in hebrew I'd be happy to teach you some basics of Hebrew. Hebrew is a Semitic language spoken predominantly in Israel, where it's an official language along with Arabic. Here are some basic words and phrases:

  1. שָׁלוֹם - Shalom - Hello/Goodbye/Peace

  2. תודה - Toda - Thank you

  3. בְּבַקָּשָׁה - Bevakasha - Please

  4. כֵּן - Ken - Yes

  5. לֹא - Lo - No

  6. אַנִי - Ani - I

  7. אַתָּה - Ata - You (masculine singular)

  8. אַת - At - You (feminine singular)

  9. הוּא - Hu - He

  10. הִיא - Hi - She

Here are a few basic sentences:

  1. אֲנִי בְּסֵדֶר - Ani beseder - I am fine.

  2. מַה שֵּׁם שֶׁלְּךָ? - Ma shem shelcha? - What is your name? (to a male)

  3. מַה שֵּׁם שֶׁלָךְ? - Ma shem shelach? - What is your name? (to a female)

  4. אֵיפֹה הַשֵּׁרוּתִים? - Eifo ha sherutim? - Where is the restroom?

  5. אֲנִי לא מְבִין/מְבִינָה - Ani lo mevin/mevina - I don't understand. (masculine/feminine)
